Refunds
Fourteen days, no questions asked. We would rather you tried Demo Mode first and never needed this page — but if the plugin is not right for you, getting your money back should not be a fight.

1. The window
You can request a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase. You do not have to justify it.
2. How to request one
Email support@altgenie.io with your order number or the address you purchased with. Refunds are issued to the original payment method by LemonSqueezy and usually appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Your licence is deactivated when the refund is issued and the paid features stop. Descriptions already generated stay on your site — they live in WordPress, not in our system.
3. Try before you buy
AltGenie ships with Demo Mode, which runs the complete workflow — scanner, bulk processing, history, reports — against your real media library with no API key and no spend.
There is also a free build on WordPress.org with bring-your-own-key generation. Between the two you can confirm the plugin works on your host, theme and page builder before any money changes hands.
4. If something is broken, tell us first
Please give support one attempt before asking for a refund. A large share of problems turn out to be a provider quota message, a batch size too high for the host, or a page builder holding its own copy of the alt text — all fixable in minutes.
If we cannot get it working on a supported environment (WordPress 5.8+, PHP 7.4+), you get your money back regardless of the 14-day window.
5. What is not covered
- AI provider fees. Charges on your own OpenAI or Google account are between you and them — we never receive that money and cannot refund it. Set a spending limit in your provider console before a large bulk run.
- Renewals you forgot to cancel, once the new term is more than 14 days old. That said, if you genuinely have not used it, write to us. We are reasonable about this.
- Marketplace purchases. If you bought through CodeCanyon or another marketplace, their policy applies and the request goes through them.
6. Abuse
We may decline a refund where there is clear evidence of abuse — repeatedly buying and refunding, or refunding while continuing to use a licence key. This is rare, and we will explain our reasoning if it happens.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces rights you have under consumer law in your own country. If local law gives you a longer or stronger right of withdrawal, that applies instead.
